PT Pertamina EP Donggi Matindok Field (PEP DMF) has implemented biodiversity conservation initiatives for both flora and fauna within conservation areas at CPP Donggi and Matindok, Kilo 5 Beach, and Pandan Wangi Mangrove, covering a total area of 18.28 hectares. In its efforts to preserve biodiversity, PEP DMF has several main programs, including SAHID (Sabuk Hijau Donggi Matindok Field), Bioreeftek as a coral transplantation medium at Pandan Wangi Beach and Kilo 5 Beach, Conservation of Endemic Flora at the Kokolomboi Biodiversity Park, and Conservation of the Endemic Banggai Crow (native to Peleng Island) at the Kokolomboi Biodiversity Park through feed enrichment using local plant species. The implementation of these conservation programs has had a positive impact on the environment by engaging government institutions and local non-governmental organizations.
