PEP Asset 4 Field Donggi Matindok
PT Pertamina EP Donggi Matindok Field (PEP DMF) has implemented ecosystem preservation and monitoring of flora and fauna in a conservation area, 18.26 Hectares. As of 2024, there are eight main programs in place that have produced a flora diversity index of 4.26 and a fauna diversity index of 3.75. The eight main programs are:
A. SAHID (Green Belt Program of Donggi Matindok Field)
Through the SAHID program, PEP DMF has planted 1,114 plants from 41 species in the area surrounding the Central Processing Plant (CPP).
B. Biodiversity Status Monitoring in Kokolomboi Conservation Park
This program is a collaboration between PEP DMF, the Kokolomboi Conservation Park Management, Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Banggai Kepulauan, and The Government of Banggai Kepulauan, resulting an absolute result in a total of 3,612 flora and 1,083 fauna.
C. Conservation of the Endemic Banggai Crow from Peleng Island at Kokolomboi Conservation Park through Food Enrichment with Local Plants
Monitoring of the Banggai Crow (Corvus unicolor) conservation program has shown an absolute result of 8 individuals.
D. Conservation of Endemic Flora at Kokolomboi Conservation Park
This conservation program has produced a total of 260 endemic flora.
E. Restoration of Leme-leme Darat Village using Dusung Method
PEP DMF has a positive impact on the environment and community by planting 5,900 native trees of Peleng Island, such as Tambade/Tambadean, Luwa, Kokiak, and Lakodok.
F. Bioferdom Harmony: Utilizing Organic Biosulfur Fertilizer from Natural Gas Processing Waste for Reforestation Kokolomboi Conservation Park
PEP DMF utilizes non-hazardous waste from the production area in the form of bioferdom cake generated from the CPP, which can be used to enhance plant nutrition.
G. Bioreeftek as Medium for Coral Transplantation at Pandan Wangi Beach & Kilo 5 Beach
Bioreeftek has its own uniqueness, because it made from non-hazardous waste, such as coconut shells and PVC pipes, which are generally discarded. But PEP DMF reuse this non-hazardous waste as a media for coral transplantation.
H. Biosulfur-Powered Fertilizer for Transforming the Mangrove Ecosystem at Pandan Wangi Beach
This program has a positive impact on the discovery of new primate species in the Mangrove area of Pandan Wangi Beach, namely Macaca tonkeana and Macaca nigra.
