Pertamina Hulu Energi Field Ogan Komering is committed to protecting biodiversity around the work area. One of the fauna conserved by the Ogan Komering Field is the Javanese Belida Fish / Putak Fish (Notopterus notopterus). This fish population is quite threatened due to the rampant fishing activities by fishermen. Field Ogan Komering is trying to increase the fish population in the conservation area of Field Ogan Komering using the Fish Apartment method. This fish apartment is made from betung bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper) to ensure that the fish eggs could stick to the fish apartment and safe from intrution by other predators.
