Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) Raja Tempirai has a commitment to conserve and sustain of the existence of the Ikan Belida Sumatera. Because Ikan Belida Sumatera has a high selling value in the Sumatran region, especially in South Sumatra. This results a large number of belida fish being caught to meet market demand. So, it reduces the number of belida fish in the waters, especially around the PHE Raja Tempirai work area. This encourages PHE Raja Tempirai's concern to participate in conserve Ikan Belida Sumatera through a conservation program from fish catching in the Air Itam River. Next, the brood sized belida fish are bred in the PHE Raja Tempirai pond with the hope that they will reproduce and be released into the rivers closest to the PHE Raja Tempirai work area.
