Pertamina Drilling and Uzma Forge Strategic Overseas Partnership

Malaysia - PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (Pertamina Drilling), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, has been entrusted as a strategic partner to provide integrated solutions for the Malaysian market. This collaboration was solidified through a partnership agreement with Uzma Engineering SDN BHD, a leading local energy services company, on Wednesday (28/02) in Malaysia.
The agreement was signed by Avep Disasmita, President Director of Pertamina Drilling, and Dato’ Kamarul Redzuan bin Muhamed, Chief Executive Officer of Uzma Group, in the presence of board members and commissioners from both companies.
Uzma Group is an integrated company that offers innovative and cost-effective solutions across the exploration, development, and production value chain of the oil and gas industry. Established in 2000, Uzma Group aims to be a leading oil and gas services and equipment provider in Southeast Asia.
On this occasion, Avep highlighted the paramount importance of safety in future field operations. "Pertamina Drilling's safety culture has reached a proactive level, indicating our deep commitment to field safety. For us, safety takes precedence over profit," stated Avep. Ensuring safety in the field is also a form of mutual trust between the partnering companies.
This collaboration presents an opportunity for Pertamina Drilling to expand its market internationally, particularly in promoting its Integrated Project Management (IPM) services, which integrate a range of services and technologies, including rig services, non-rig services, and other supporting services. "We hope that through this partnership agreement and our capabilities, we will continue to penetrate the onshore business market in Malaysia," Avep expressed.
Similarly, Dato’ Kamarul Redzuan bin Muhamed remarked, "By partnering with Pertamina Drilling, we aim to strengthen our position as a leading energy solutions provider in Malaysia and contribute to the advancement of the industry." He further added, "As we commence our collaboration with Pertamina Drilling, we are confident that this partnership will unlock new opportunities and drive us towards greater success in the oil and gas market."
The cooperation between Pertamina Drilling and Uzma Group represents a reciprocal business arrangement. This partnership serves as an international blueprint for Pertamina Drilling, opening doors for other foreign projects, including IPM, rig, and associated services opportunities.
