PHE Triumphs at IPA Convex 2024
Jakarta - PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), the Upstream Subholding of Pertamina, continues to prove its achievements and existence in the industry. PHE recently garnered significant recognition at the 48th Indonesian Petroleum Association Convention & Exhibition (IPA Convex) 2024, held from May 14-16, 2024, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City.
During the Closing Ceremony on May 16, 2024, PHE secured the 1st place award for the “Best Favorite Booth” category, as voted by visitors and various participants throughout the event. Additionally, PHE achieved the 2nd Runner-Up position for “Best Booth Content.”
The event also featured an idea competition for professionals and students in the upstream oil and gas industry. Two PERTAMINA workers representing PHE received notable accolades: Mochamad Jalal Abdul Goni from Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) won the “Best Poster Presentation Engineering & Facility” award, and Muhammad Irsyad Hibatullah from Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) received the “Best Overall Oral Presentation” award.
Over 1,200 participants visited the PHE booth, gaining new insights and experiences through the various activities and innovations showcased. Arya Dwi Paramita, PHE Corporate Secretary, emphasized that PHE's participation aimed to strengthen industry relationships and raise awareness about the company’s initiatives.
"On this occasion, the PHE booth featured information on the performance of our Regions and Subsidiaries within Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, utilizing engaging multimedia. We also educated visitors on decarbonization efforts through an interactive CCS/CCUS wall," Arya explained.
On the opening day of the exhibition, the PHE booth was visited by Arifin Tasrif, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), accompanied by Dwi Soetjipto, head of SKK Migas. They were welcomed by Whisnu Bahriansyah, PHE’s Director of HR & Business Support, and Awang Lazuardi, PHE’s Director of Development & Production.
The PHE booth also featured a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) lounge, showcasing local crafts and products. Highlights included a fabric weaving demonstration using pineapple leaf fibers from Pertamina EP Subang Field and an Arabica coffee blend served by Local Hero Kopi Puntang Wangi from Mount Puntang, West Java.
PHE is committed to supporting the government's goal of achieving Net Zero Emissions (NZE) by 2060. As part of this commitment, the booth featured a Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) for collecting plastic waste. During the event, 684 plastic bottles were collected via the machine.
