Pertamina Hulu Energi Triumphs at APQA 2024 With "Best of The Best" Award

Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, has achieved the prestigious “Best of the Best” award at the 2024 Annual Pertamina Quality Award (APQA). This annual event, organized by PT Pertamina (Persero), celebrates innovation and continuous improvement within the company.

This year's event, themed “Innovate Endlessly for Excellent Sustainability,” was held at Grha Pertamina on Thursday, June 6. Among the attendees were PT Pertamina (Persero) President Director Nicke Widyawati, Deputy Director Wiko Migantoro, Director of Human Resources M. Erry Sugiharto, and several other directors and management from Pertamina.

Also present were PHE’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chalid Said Salim, PHE HR & Business Support Director Whisnu Bahriansyah, along with PHE Management and several Directors from Pertamina's Upstream Subholding Regions and Subsidiaries.

In her speech, CEO of Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati praised the APQA's over ten-year run, highlighting the thousands of participating clusters and the significant impact on the company.

Pertamina's Upstream Subholding excelled by winning the highest and most prestigious APQA 2024 award, “Best of the Best,” received by CEO of PHE, Chalid Said Salim. Additional accolades included:

•    The Best Value Creation Achievement (Rank 1)
•    The Best Category Achievement (Rank 1)
•    The Most Replicated Innovation (Rank 1)
•    The Best Business Performance Excellence (Rank 3)
•    The Best KOMET Influencer (Rank 1 for Regional 1 and Rank 3 for Regional 2)
•    The Best System Assurance (Rank 2 for Regional 3)
•    Sustainability Excellence for Unit (Rank 1 for Regional 3 and Rank 3 for Regional 4)

In the 14th year of APQA, a total of 156 innovations were recognized, with PHE securing prestigious titles in various categories:

•    29 Platinum Categories
•    25 Gold Categories
•    5 Silver Categories
•    1 Bronze Category

Chalid Said Salim expressed his gratitude to the Upstream Subholding Officers for their innovative contributions. “Alhamdulillah, APQA 2024 was a success, and all innovations significantly contributed to our goals. Innovation is a pillar of our Quality Management and has become a corporate culture. It is also part of our daily business processes, enabling us to produce optimal products and achieve operational excellence,” explained Chalid. He further emphasized PHE's commitment to continuous innovation across various functions to create value without compromising safety and operational excellence.
