Jakarta - PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, along with its Regional Offices and Subsidiaries, garnered 26 awards at the PR Indonesia Awards (PRIA) 2024, organized by PR INDONESIA on Wednesday (07/03).
PRIA is a prestigious competition evaluating the performance of public relations (PR) across various organizations, including corporations, ministries, and institutions throughout Indonesia. The 2024 PRIA featured two types of competition-based judging across eight categories: Owned Media, Digital Channels, Crisis Management, Annual Reports, CSR Programs, PR Programs, PR Departments, and Media Monitoring to recognize the most popular organizations/corporations in print and online media throughout 2023.
In his opening remarks, Asmono Wikan, Founder & CEO of PR INDONESIA, emphasized the critical importance of communication today. "Communication is not just a trivial matter; it is crucial, strategic, and deeply meaningful in personal, social, and business life," Asmono stated.
At the 2024 PRIA, PHE, along with its regional offices and subsidiaries, won a total of 26 awards. Of these, 23 were competition-based, requiring participants to submit data entries. The remaining three awards were for Best Presenter (2 awards) and the title of Most Popular Organization/Corporation in Print and Online Media in 2023 (1 award), which were selected directly by the judges without the need for data entry. A panel of 16 expert judges, including senior PR practitioners, journalists, academics, and PR gurus, evaluated all PR entries.
The awards were distributed among the Upstream Subholding environment, with the Sumatra Regional Office winning two awards, the Java Regional Office winning two awards, the Kalimantan Regional Office winning twelve awards, the Eastern Indonesia Regional Office winning four awards, PT Badak NGL and Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia each winning one award.
PHE itself received four awards, including a Silver Winner in the Crisis Management Category (Subcategory: Crisis & Post-Crisis), a Bronze Winner in the Digital Channels Category (Subcategory: Website), a Bronze Winner in the CSR Communication Program Category (Subcategory: Community Development), and the title of Most Popular Organization/Corporation in Print and Online Media according to the PR INDONESIA AWARDS 2024.
Arya Dwi Paramita, Corporate Secretary of PHE, expressed gratitude and pride for these achievements. "All PR activities in Pertamina's Upstream Subholding have been executed well, and the PRIA 2024 recognition will serve as motivation to continue our PR efforts, ultimately supporting the company's targets and maintaining national energy resilience," Arya explained.
