Pertamina Hulu East Kalimantan Recognised for Commitment to Community Health

Kutai Kartanegara, Indonesia – PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT) North Operation Area (DOBU) has been honoured by the Kutai Kartanegara Regency Health Office for its active contributions to public health initiatives within its operational areas. This recognition underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of healthcare for local communities.

The award was presented during the 60th National Health Day commemoration, held on 12 November 2024 at the AM Parikesit Hospital parking area in Tenggarong Seberang, East Kalimantan. PHKT DOBU has played a significant role in supporting various public health programmes within the Marangkayu Health Centre’s jurisdiction. These initiatives include infrastructure development for healthcare facilities, activities marking World Hypertension Day, blood donation drives, mass circumcision programmes, and participation in the Kutai Kartanegara Health Office Jamboree.

Dony Indrawan, Manager of Communication Relations & CID at PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), expressed his appreciation for the award, reaffirming the company’s dedication to supporting government-led initiatives, particularly in the health sector.

"PHI, along with its subsidiaries and affiliates, including PHKT DOBU, remains committed to actively supporting government programmes as part of our broader efforts to achieve the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045," said Dony. He further highlighted the company’s extensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts across multiple sectors, including healthcare.

"We prioritise social and environmental innovation in every CSR programme to ensure a meaningful and lasting impact on the communities surrounding our operational areas," he added. The recognition awarded to PHKT DOBU also reflects the strong collaboration between the company and local authorities in fostering sustainable development.

Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of Kutai Kartanegara Regency, Sunggono, conveyed the message of Indonesia’s Minister of Health, calling on all stakeholders to leverage the post-pandemic momentum to propel the nation towards high-income status and realise the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045. "A key requirement for achieving this target is a healthy and well-educated population, which can only be attained through collective efforts from all sectors," Sunggono stated in his address.
