PHE Secures Gold Rank in Asia Sustainability Report Rating 2024

Jakarta, 9 January 2025 – PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) has been awarded the Gold Rank at the Asia Sustainability Report Rating (ASRRAT) 2024, organised by the National Center for Corporate Reporting (NCCR). The prestigious award ceremony took place on 21 November 2024 at Raffles Hotel Jakarta.
This marks the second consecutive year that PHE has attained the Gold Rank, reflecting its continued commitment to sustainability and enhanced reporting standards. The company has strengthened its disclosures in alignment with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations, reinforcing its dedication to transparent and accountable business operations.
ASRRAT is a distinguished accolade recognising organisations that excel in sustainability reporting. Now in its 20th year, the award attracts participants from diverse sectors, including government agencies, private enterprises, publicly listed companies, and academic institutions.
PHE’s Finance & Investment Director, Dannif Danusaputro, stated that this achievement underscores the company’s strong ESG performance and commitment to sustainable business practices.
"This recognition reaffirms PHE’s dedication to integrating sustainability across all aspects of our business and financial operations. We will continue to enhance our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts to create long-term value," he said.
PHE has been at the forefront of driving sustainability in Indonesia’s oil and gas industry, establishing robust ESG frameworks and roadmaps to guide environmental and social initiatives. The company has also set clear targets for achieving Net Zero Emissions (NZE) and has strengthened its supporting infrastructure to uphold sustainability principles.
A key component of PHE’s sustainability strategy is its role in national energy security, ensuring that its oil and gas production aligns with ESG standards, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship. The company’s commitment is evident in its Sustainalytics ESG Rating of 21.5 in 2023 and its MSCI ESG Rating of BBB in 2024.
In line with sustainable development goals (SDGs), PHE has also reinforced its zero tolerance on bribery policy, implementing an ISO 37001:2016-certified Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) to ensure ethical business practices and fraud prevention.
