Hold Town Hall Meeting, Badak LNG Introduces New President Director & CEO

Bontang - Badak LNG, as one of the subsidiaries under Pertamina Subholding Upstream, held a Town Hall Meeting with all Badak LNG employees on Tuesday (01/23).

The event, attended by the board of commissioners, directors, and management, aimed to introduce Achmad Khoiruddin, the new President Director & CEO of Badak LNG.

Before serving as President Director & CEO of Badak LNG, Achmad Khoiruddin held the position of VP LNG at PT Pertamina (Persero). He now replaces Gema Iriandus Pahalawan, who has completed his term.

Achmad Khoiruddin outlined the challenges and strategic steps in facing future opportunities. The discovery of large natural gas reserves is a blessing and a challenge for Badak LNG. One of the challenges is the reactivation of the plant.

"In the future, Badak LNG will face the challenge of plant reactivation. This challenge requires coordination, innovation, and collaboration from all parties to achieve the target. Therefore, we need to face it optimistically and see it as an opportunity for growth," said Achmad Khoiruddin.

Reactivating the plant is not only a technical challenge but also an integral part of the Company's business strategy. This project is the first of its kind in the history of Badak LNG and the LNG industry worldwide. Therefore, teamwork and involvement from all elements, both production and non-production, are crucial. Achmad Khoiruddin emphasized that support from all parties is vital for the success of the plant reactivation project.

"This plant reactivation might be the first of its kind in the world, so support and commitment from all elements, both from the production and non-production teams, are needed. We hope these steps can provide new enthusiasm because successfully facing this challenge can bring benefits not only to the Company but also to every individual who contributes and the community around the Company," concluded Achmad Khoiruddin.

Under the leadership of the new President Director & CEO, Badak LNG looks to the future with optimism, facing every challenge, and remains committed to continually providing positive contributions to the industry and the community.
