PHE Innovates and Earns International Recognition

Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, continues to shine with its innovative achievements. The creative efforts of the Perwira have garnered international attention and accolades. Four groundbreaking projects from PHE won awards at the 17th International Invention and Innovation Show INTARG 2024 in Katowice, Poland, held from May 21-23, 2024.

INTARG 2024, organized by Eurobusiness-Haller, featured over 267 participants from 21 countries. This convention and exhibition aim to showcase innovative technological capabilities, create international business opportunities, and drive industrial transformation. PHE received international recognition for the following four projects from the Upstream Subholding Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) Delegates:

1.    FT-PROVE MOTION (PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan): This project, titled "Increase the Effectiveness and Efficiency of Well Services Caused by Parted Sucker Rod by Using Motion (Mousetrap Revolution) in Pendopo Field," earned a GOLD MEDAL and a Special Award from the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA).
2.    PC-PROVE GEMPI (PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia): This project, titled "Increasing Company Revenue from Producing Inactive Wells Using the GEMPI (Green Environmental Oil Pump Installation) at Pertamina Hulu Indonesia - Regional 3, Zona 10, Tarakan Field," received a GOLD MEDAL and a Special Award from the International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA).
3.    PC-PROVE SULPHUR PAVING (PT Pertamina EP Cepu): This project, titled "Utilization of Sulfur Waste into Eco Sulfur Paving Blocks for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activities at PT Pertamina EP," was awarded a PLATINUM MEDAL and The Best Foreign Innovation Award.
4.    PC-PROVE MOVE ON (PT Pertamina International EP): This project, titled "Increasing Revenue by 241million USD Annually with Molecular Sieve Dehydration Modification at Regional 5 - Upstream Subholding," won a GOLD MEDAL and a Special Award from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).

Whisnu Bahriansyah, Director of HR and Business Support at PHE, expressed his appreciation to the Perwira who achieved these awards, bringing pride to the company and the nation through their innovative contributions.

“We extend our gratitude to all Upstream Subholding, Regional, and Subsidiary or Services Management teams who continuously support and guide the Quality Officers, enabling the Upstream Subholding CIP Delegation to showcase Pertamina’s name on the international stage with their extraordinary innovations,” said Whisnu.
