Hal ini disebabkan adanya penambahan realisasi sumur pengeboran di Regional 1, Regional 2 dan Regional 3 sebagai upaya untuk mencapai target produksi. Jumlah pengeboran sumur pengembangan meningkat seiring bertambahnya rigpengeboran serta tidak lepas dari usaha inovasi dan optimisasi yang dilakukan baik dari tahap perencanaan maupun eksekusi. Dari aspek perencanaan, berbagai usaha dalam menekan durasi dan biaya, serta memastikan produksi dilakukan dengan berbagai cara seperti: optimasi arsitektur, Multi-stage Fracturing, Casing While Drilling, Monobore Completion, dan optimasi tipe komplesi sumur. Dari sisi operasi juga terdapat beberapa usaha dalam memastikan operational excellenceseperti: pengurangan luasan area pengeboran, peningkatan sistem quality assurance dan quality control, training PETROL (Pertamina Well Control), Stuck Prevention Workshop, membantu mengurangi non-productive time secara berkelanjutan dan di saat yang bersamaan memaksimalkan utilisasi rig yang ada.The realization of development well drilling performance in 2024 was 821 wells, an increase compared to last year's realization of 799 wells.
