Terkait pengeboran, Perseroan merealisasikannya melalui Subholding Upstream merealisasikannya pada 20 sumur dilakukan kegiatan eksplorasi dan 799 eksploitasi. Kondisi tersebut disebabkan oleh Keterlambatan pemboran akibat isu rig (ketersediaan dan kehandalan), isu penyiapan lahan,dan keterlambatan proses perijinan HSSE.Pada tahun 2023, Perseroan melakukan survei seismik, baik jenis 2D maupun 3D, yang masing-masing seluas 0 km dan 1.512 km2. Kegiatan ini dilakukan sebagai upaya mencari cadangan minyak dan gas dalam rangka eksplorasi. Kondisi tersebut disebabkan oleh keterlambatan proses perijinan dan proses lelang.Total produksi minyak mencapai 566 MBOPD, naik 110% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya yang sebesar 514 MBOPD., atau 95% dari Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Perusahaan (RKAP) yang sebesar 595 MBOPD. Pencapaian ini dipengaruhi gap run rate awal tahun dan mundurnya pemboran. Sedangkan produksi gas pada tahun 2023 adalah sebesar 2.766 MMSCFD. Dibandingkan tahun 2022 yang 2.624 MMSCFD, terjadi kenaikan 105% atau 100,12% dari Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Perusahaan (RKAP) yang sebesar 2.763 MBOPD. Kondisi tersebut disebabkan oleh run rate positif dari performa 2022 dan program program gap run rate di tahun 2023.Pencapaian lifting minyak tahun 2023 masih dibawah target tahun 2023 yang disebabkan oleh pencapaian produksi yang masih dibawah target. Kinerja lifting to production ratio mencapai 100% dimana telah dilakukan optimalisasi dan koordinasi intensif dengan SKK Migas, Subholding Refinery & Petrochemical, Subholding Commercial & Trading, dan operator Wilayah Kerja & terminal.
