Proyek ini berpotensi memproduksi gas sebanyak 1,600 MMSCFD dengan target operasional pada 2029. Per Desember 2024, Proyek Blok Masela berada pada penyelesaian tahap desain dan rekayasa (front-end engineering design atau FEED) dengan pekerjaan fisik 2G onshore survei telah selesai dilakukan. Produk ramah lingkungan lainnya yang diupayakan oleh PHE Subholding Upstream adalah hidrogen alami atau geologic hydrogen yang merupakan sumber energi bersih bebas emisi karbon. Sumber hidrogen ini berasal dari bawah permukaan bumi dan tersimpan dalam bebatuan. Terdapat 4 jenis hidrogen alami, yaitu white hydrogen, gold hydrogen, orange hydrogen, dan aqua hydrogen. Studi Geologi & Geofisika (G&G) potensi hidrogen alami telah dilakukan di Sulawesi Timur dalam rentang waktu Mei - Desember 2024. Berdasarkan hasil pemetaan oleh Pusat Survei Geologi, terdapat singkapan batuan ultramafik seluas 2,7 juta hektare yang dapat menghasilkan hidrogen alami melalui proses serpentinisasi.This project has the potential to produce 1,600 MMSCFD of gas with an operational target in 2029. Another environmentally friendly product pursued by PHE Subholding Upstream is natural hydrogen or geological hydrogen, which is a clean energy source free of carbon emissions. This hydrogen source comes from beneath the earth's surface and is stored in rocks. There are 4 types of natural hydrogen, namely white hydrogen, gold hydrogen, orange hydrogen, and aqua hydrogen. A Geological & Geophysical (G&G) study of natural hydrogen potential has been conducted in East Sulawesi from May - December 2024. Based on the mapping results by the Geological Survey Center, there are ultramafic rock outcrops covering an area of 2.7 million hectares that can produce natural hydrogen through the serpentinization process.Pada tahun 2023, nilai ekonomi yang diperoleh Perusahaan mencapai USD14.892,86 juta, mengalami peningkatan sebesar 2,17% dibandingkan dengan tahun sebelumnya. Sebagian besar dari nilai ekonomi tersebut, yaitu 96,22%, berasal dari bisnis utama perusahaan. Dari jumlah nilai ekonomi yang dihasilkan, Perusahaan mengalokasikan USD7.927,51 juta untuk biaya operasional, mendistribusikan USD1.596,97 juta kepada pekerja, USD2.533,66 juta kepada penyandang dana, USD1.771,54 juta kepada Pemerintah, dan USD23,16 juta kepada masyarakat melalui program Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL). Total nilai ekonomi yang didistribusikan selama tahun 2024 adalah sebesar USD13.851,58 juta.Distribusi nilai ekonomi pada tahun 2024 lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai ekonomi langsung yang dihasilkan, mengakibatkan nilai ekonomi yang ditahan sebesar USD1.041,28 juta selama tahun berjalan. Perusahaan memastikan bahwa distribusi nilai ekonomi kepada para pemangku kepentingan dilakukan secara tepat sasaran dan berdasarkan asas manfaat untuk mendukung keberlanjutan operasional perusahaan dan memberikan dampak positif bagi seluruh pihak terkait.
