Among the work activities of the Subsurface Development Function are evaluating exploration findings in the form of contingent resources that have obtained Exploration Status Determination (PSE) to be further monetized, developing existing and undeveloped discoveries through POD and POFD/OPL, and strive for production sustainability through the addition of sustainable reserves.Subsurface Development Fungsi Subsurface Development memegang peran penting di PHE, yaitu melakukan kegiatan pengembangan lapangan dalam upaya memonetisasi sumber daya migas.
