The end-of-year lifting monitoring for PHM's operations was attended by Vice Chairman of SKK Migas, Nanang Abdul Manaf, Head of SKK Migas Kalimantan Sulawesi (Kalsul) Representative Azhari Idris, SKK Migas management, PHI President Director John Anis, PHM/Zone 8 General Manager Setyo Sapto Edi, as well as PHI and PHM management.
Vice Chairman of SKK Migas, Nanang Abdul Manaf, stated that this activity is a good opportunity to reflect on the year 2023 experiences and lessons for future improvement. Nanang also encouraged to always prioritize safety aspects and maintain the reliability of operational facilities.
"On this occasion, I would like to invite all of you to remain enthusiast as motivation towards the new year. Developing ideas that have a positive impact must continue to be pursued as best as possible. In addition, all challenges and criticisms should not demoralize us, instead, we need all of that to strengthen our foundation," he said.
Nanang added that as long as trust is given to manage the upstream oil and gas sector, SKK Migas and Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) are expected to continue mitigation and improvement efforts regardless of any challenges, as these efforts will become a legacy for the country.
Head of SKK Migas Kalsul Region Azhari Idris explained that all terminals in the Kalsul region are ready to carry out end-of-year 2023 lifting activities by maximizing the delivery of oil/condensate production from oil and gas fields to the Lifting Terminal.
"The lifting activities include draining the oil/condensate stock from the tanks while maintaining the quality of the oil/condensate to be lifted. The realization of MMK Lifting in the Kalsul region is 100% of production, 102% of the WP&B target, and 93% of the APBN target," he explained.
Meanwhile, PHI President Director John Anis explained that the end-of-year 2023 visit is one of the efforts to support the achievement of oil and gas lifting activities in supporting the national oil and gas production target by 2030, namely one million barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and natural gas of 12 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD).
"Throughout 2023, PHI along with its subsidiaries and affiliates completed drilling 170 development wells (exploitation) and 4 exploration wells. With the high drilling activities and production target figures, we are required to maintain the reliability of production facilities, terminals, and supporting facilities for oil and gas lifting to significantly contribute to the achievement of Indonesia's oil and gas production and lifting figures," said John.
On this occasion, John emphasized the importance of commitment to always carry out safe, reliable, environmentally friendly upstream oil and gas operations, and comply with all applicable regulations in accordance with the application of ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) principles.
"The joint visit is a good moment to gather and build cooperation, collaborate, and synergize to achieve goals. This activity is an opportunity to appreciate all workers, especially those on the front lines, and encourage them to continue improving their already good performance and innovate so that they can also produce good results in the years to come," concluded John.
PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) is a part of Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, which manages upstream oil and gas operations and businesses according to ESG principles in Regional 3 Kalimantan. Last year, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, PHI recorded oil production of 57.8 thousand barrels of oil per day (MBOPD) and gas production of 668.3 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD). In achieving its vision to become a world-class oil and gas company, PHI continues to implement various innovations and technological applications to produce energy that is safe, efficient, reliable, compliant, and environmentally friendly.
