Boosting National Capacity, PHE Wins SCM Summit 2024 Award

JAKARTA – PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, continues to demonstrate its commitment to excellence. This time, PHE received recognition at the Supply Chain & National Capacity Summit 2024 (SCM Summit 2024), a prestigious event that brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and Cooperation Contractors (KKKS), facilitated by the government through the regulator SKK MIGAS.

Participating in the summit held at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, from August 14 to 16, 2024, under the theme "Navigating Long-Term Plans Through Integrated Supply Chains for National Capacity Building," PHE showcased its achievements in increasing domestic capacity, implementing seamless operations, and enhancing efficiency in supply chain management. These efforts were met with full appreciation from SKK MIGAS.

At the SCM Summit 2024 Closing Ceremony, held on Saturday, August 16, 2024, PHE was honored with the "Best Contribution to National Procurement List 2024" award. Additionally, PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR), a PHE subsidiary in the Sumatra Region, received the award for "Best Innovation in Material Inventory Optimization." PHE’s VP SCM, Bongbongan Tampubolon, accepted the award on behalf of PHE, while Irfan Zaenuri, VP Business Support of PHR, accepted on behalf of PHR.

Another recognition was given to Dedih Durahman, a PHE officer, for his contributions as a member of the Upstream Oil and Gas Joint Assessment and Development Team for the Tubular Valve Fitting Commodity (2021-2024).

The event, which also served as a competition for innovative ideas in the upstream oil and gas supply chain sector, drew participants ranging from industry professionals to students. Several PHE representatives were recognized in the Call for Paper Professional Category:

•    1st Place: Effectiveness and Efficiency of TKDN Live Verification Implementation as a Solution for Accelerating TKDN Fulfillment in the Upstream Oil and Gas Sector – by Dion Yoske Prahara, Supriyatno, Esther Elias, and Rama Atyasa Y.
•    2nd Place: Optimizing Import Logistics: AHP Approach for Selecting a Logistics Hub and Implementation Analysis at PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) – by Rudy Gunawan Syarfi, Iwan Vanany, Aribu Ludano, Roy Faliant, Agustina, and Mochammad Riyo Yuarizha.
•    3rd Place: Reducing Hydrocarbon Losses and Implementing a National Capacity Building Program Through the Use of Domestic Amine Solvent at the CO2 Removal Plant SP Subang – by Fardy Muhammad Ichsan S., Arde Hendrawan, I Gura Prabu Senky, and Agung Setyawan.

PHE's officers and management also made a significant impact during the summit. Whisnu Bahriansyah, PHE HR & Corporate Services Director, delivered a keynote speech on “Leadership Perspectives in the Future Oil and Gas Industry,” while Avep Disasmita, President Director of Pertamina Drilling, spoke on “Strategizing Supply Chain Resilience for Long-Term Planning.” Jon Erwin, Country Manager of PT Pertamina International EP’s Algeria Assets, participated in discussions on “Optimizing Overseas Supply Chains: Strategies for Efficient Support and Management.”

As part of this prestigious forum among KKKS, Bayu Kusuma Tri Aryanto, VP SCM of Pertamina’s Java Regional Subholding Upstream, contributed as the Vice Chairman of the SCM Summit 2024.

Reflecting on these achievements, Bongbongan Tampubolon, VP SCM of PHE, attributed the success to the hard work and dedication of PHE’s employees. "The recognition we received at SCM Summit 2024 is the result of the tireless efforts of PHE officers, who embody our AKHLAK core values in their daily work. This award reflects our unwavering commitment to ensuring the certainty of the upstream oil and gas supply chain, continuously promoting the use of local products through the Domestic Content Level (TKDN) initiative," said Bongbongan.

Since June 2022, PHE has been a registered participant in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), incorporating its Ten Principles into the company’s strategy and operations.
